Senior Moment - Ariel Taylor
Ariel came out of Griffin Middle School with impressive credentials. Each year in high school she slowly but surely improved those credentials becoming number four in the 3200, number eight in the 1600, and number eleven in the 800, on the all time list. She also saw action in the 4x4 during this time.
In Cross Country Ariel was one of the top runners in the history of Capital. She always came through and ran tough – that’s a good description of Ariel – tough!
In both sports, Cross Country and Track Ariel was a Captain and a natural leader. She led at meets and in practices and was voted Most Inspirational four times and MVP once.
Ariel is headed to Eastern Washington on a Track and Cross Country scholarship this fall. We will miss her leadership and I’ll miss coaching her. Goodbye and don't be a stranger!
