Stephanie wins "Spirit of Running Scholarship"

The Capital City Marathon Association selected its annual $1500.00 scholarship winner last night and our own Stephanie Schmitt was the recipient. The board was quite taken by her essay - so I have heard. Jordan Swarthout picked up a $1000.00 stipend in recognition of his work with the marathon and its training group. Get involved - it might pay off! This year's marathon is May 20 and 21st. On May 20th we will be needing a crew of three or four with a truck to help set up a couple of tents at about 10 in the morning. On May 21st we will be needing people at the finish line around 9:00 to help with food etc. Take down is a good job because there is lots of food. I'll get out more info. as we get closer.
