Ft. Steilacoom Invite. Report

It was a beautiful day for racing at the Ft. Steilacoom Invite. and we took advantage of it. The Varsity girls took second behind second ranked West Valley in a field of 31 schools. The boys took 6th in a field of 42 schools. Fifty two schools were represented, but not all had complete teams. Amanda Wright lead the girls with an eighth place finish and Graydon Manning lead the boys with a very close second place finish. Laura Wolfe won her flight which was a first for a Capital. The JV Girls won placing six girls in the top eleven with Maria McSharry getting first followed by Kailyn Swarthout in second. The JV Boys Top 5 placed third with Ted Christensen leading the way. The JV Boys finished second by one point with Zach Poyner finishing first and Nathan Huynh finishing second.

Here are some match ups from 2005, ( I’m sure Coach Wright will do this for the girls) bearing in mind the course seemed a bit slower because of changes. I’ve only recorded improved times.
