What Does It Mean?
I have never seen a wild pig until the other day. I have observed areas where they have rooted around leaving ruts. I have heard the grunts and moving of brush just off of the trail and was left nervously wondering whether a huge hog would come charging out. This day was to be different, I would finally actually see a pig. It was a small pig and it was dead in the middle of the road.We almost ran over it. We continued on to our destination and a several hours hike down a sea cliff and back. On our return trip the pig was still there, but a dead mongoose was splatted in the road next to it.Apparently the mongoose had come out to feast on the pig and met his demise as well.
I'm not sure what this all means, but I have come to believe it has some significance.
I believe the moral here is never play in traffic and never, never eat breakfast lunch or dinner in the middle of the road.
